[ 2017 ] - Where It All Began

When I was 12 years old, I used to watch this TV series called Hawaii 5-0. Every day, when the episode ended, I remember staying up just to watch the beginning of the next program called Leverage (2008-2012). In that series, there was a character I always liked — the Hacker. That weird guy who always knew exactly what to do when it came to computers, and who always had the freedom to hack anything he wanted. It was right there where I had the feeling that I needed to become a hacker just like he was.

[ 2019 ] - Digging To Become A Hacker

In 2019, I began searching everywhere to learn how to become a hacker. I suddenly realized that I needed to go to university and study Computer Science. However, at that time, I did not have good grades. I was in Spain, in the second year of secondary school, and I did not care much about high school, I was just motivated without realizing the effort I would have to put in to finally get there.

[ 2020 ] - First Steps Into Cybersecurity

In my third year of secondary school, I began exploring the world of cybersecurity. That was when I first learned about different types of cyberattacks, what vulnerabilities are, and other cool topics that sparked my interest... I learned as well what Linux was and started watching YouTube videos about cybersecurity. I started to hang out with a great group of friends. They were not really into cybersecurity like I was, howeever, I still had a lot of fun with them.

[ 2021 ] - Big News!

This was supposed to be my last year of secondary school - or that was at least what I thought at the time. It was the year I needed to give everything I had to get into the National Baccalaureate program, which would allow me to take the university entrance exam and finally study what I always wanted. However, things did not go as expected...

March 2021, I was being bullied at school. I had stopped studying. I was falling into deppression unsure of what was going to happen to me and it was right there when I received the big news...

My parents did notice what I was going through; that is why it was decided that I would move to Switzerland the following Monday - long before the school year ended. The plan was for me to learn German, study at a Swiss school and eventually achieve my dream - just not in the place I imagined, but in Switzerland - a country I quickly fell in love with.

[ 2022 ] - Living In Switzerland

Switzerland was heaven for me, it was the right place at the right moment. When I first arrived, I did not speak German, so I had to start the second year of secondary school again. Since I was not being graded, I had the freedom to focus entirely on learning the language. During that period, I discovered that the Swiss Baccalaureate lasts four years, Therefore, after completing secondary school again in Switzerland, I decided to return to Spain to finish my secondary education there as well — since I had left it incomplete — and to begin an International Baccalaureate program...

[ 2023 ] - International Baccalaureate!

During those two years, I began applying to Swiss universities, as I had planned to return to Switzerland after completing the IB. However, things did not go as planned again... All Swiss universities required applicants to have studied "Mathematics" & "Physics or Biology or Chemistry". I had chosen "Mathematics" & "Computer Science" thinking it aligned with my intended Bachelor's Degree in Computing Science. Unfortunately, I was rejected by every university. It was a difficult moment; I felt like I had failed and that I would be stuck in Spain indefinitely...

[ 2024 ] - Red Teamer

At the time, I was beginning to dive deeper into the world of cybersecurity. I started developing new skills and even discovered the branch I loved the most - literally my dream since I was a kid - Penetration Testing, also known as Red Teaming or Ethical Hacking. It was then that I started digging in and learning about important aspects of the field, such as cybersecurity certifications like eJPT and OSCP. I also signed up for platforms and academies like HackTheBox or Hack4u to work toward earning those certifications.

However, even though I had finally found the branch I wanted to pursue, I was scared as well about my future - uncertain of where and when I would be able to follow this path.

[ 2025 ] - IB Results

That is why I chose to persevere... I asked around and eventually discovered that I could apply to study Computing Science in The Netherlands at the University of Groningen, where the only subject requirement was "Mathematics". I received my IB results, passed, and was accepted. Now, I am finally about to begin studying what I have always wanted - not in the place I initially imagined but exactly where I need to be.

I finally started launching my own cybersecurity projects, including several tools and even this website I created ;). I am proud of the progress so far and still learning everything I can about becoming a hacker and preparing myself for the cybersecurity certifications...
